Oh. My. God.
I worked Baskin Robbins at the time. They had some... regretful... tie-in flavors. Not as bad as the Eerie, Indiana tie-ins, mind you.

Well, first know that they were trying a series of 'radical' flavors, aimed at kids. Bright, colorful, eye-catching.

We had to have a disclaimer warning parents that it might turn the kid's poop interesting colors.
Eerie I-Scream was purple and green vanilla ice cream, with a gooey red raspberry swirl, and white chocolate raspberry filled skulls.

Skulliscious was orange colored vanilla and chocolate with chocolate skulls, and did NOT sell. We had that stuff two years later
And a more mundane trick or treat flavor with multiple candy bits in it.

The general response was the kids wanting the brightly-colored stuff, based on appearances alone and the parents recoiling in disgust, "Oh, you are NOT getting that."
