I had this down as an obscure Australian program that ran for 1 year thirty years ago that nobody would really remember, but Wikipedia tells me it ran for 11 years, won a bunch of awards and was repeated on UK tv as recently as 2007!

I bought the DVD box set off Amazon a while back. It was still pretty fun. X-Files for kids really.
