He super did! He was like I know exactly what I'm going for and I'm going to get as into it as I possibly can. I also love the evangelical overtones of how he talks about TV. And the way he's kind of reminiscent of The Donald.

Yeah, I think there was some definite deliberate channeling of René Auberjonois here. (And I kind of wonder if Gravity Falls' Lil Gideon was channeling Ted a bit, too.)
