It's the awesome father of one of the weirdest families, The Addams Family! The Addams Family ran for 64 episodes from 1964 to 1966, check the comments for the addictive intro for the show! John Astin is one of my favorite actors and appeared in such awesome stuff as Night Court, Eerie Indiana, The New Addams Family and The Frighteners! Getting a likeness of a real person is a weakness of mine so this started as practice. I stumbled onto the technique of posterizing the reference photo then basing my drawing on the shapes. It really helped and I love how this one came out. Maybe I'll even draw the rest of the show's great cast. Stay tuned for more cool art coming soon...
