Reddit post on all the weird shows set in Indiana

"Stranger Things", "Eerie, Indiana", "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", and really odd comedies like "The Middle", "Kimmie Schmidt" (the premise of the show, season one), and "Parks & Rec". Oh, and the holiday favorite "A Christmas Story".

It's like Indiana is becoming the weird state of the Midwest. I like it!

There's a palm tree in the opening sequence of Eerie, Indiana.

I can't remember what show/movie I was watching long ago, but the characters mentioned being in Indiana, but there were clearly large foothills in the background that looked an awful lot like southern California...

Does anyone remember the palm tree?
