Growing Up Eerie

Growing up, Eerie, Indiana was one of the few shows that kids interested in the paranormal had to watch that was geared strictly for them. It was a major influence on author Kristina Stancil so much that she geared her graduate thesis with the idea of family horror entertainment in mind.

Enter actor, Justin Shenkarow who played Simon Holmes on Eerie. He & show creator, Karl Shaeffer were looking for fans to generate interest in reviving Eerie, Indiana. He contacted Kristina on Twitter to help spearhead interest in a series reboot.

With the support of Justin and his co-star, Jason Marsden, (DashX) Kristina and her magazine, Blood Reign joined the movement to revive one of her beloved childhood shows...and Growing Up Eerie was born. Petitions were launched to get LionsGate Entertainment and Hearst Media to generate interest in the cult classic.
