Feedback Friday!

It's Friday, Eerie fans, and it's a great time to look back on all the sweet fanworks you've created over the years. Why not revisit some sweet artwork, admire someone's crafting efforts or leave an appreciative comment on an uploaded video?

Reddit thread on Stranger Things and it's various comparisons

Ironically, back in summer 2016, what makes me hooked on the show was this Goonies feel I keep having when watching the episodes.
Now the more I think about it, the more they feel different (much more than E.T or Stand By Me or even IT where I can see their influence on the show)
The Goonies is a lighthearted adventure. The humor is often goofy and while some stuff seems over the top, it 'could' happen in real life. Even if we try to compare the characters, they don't fit. The goonies never gave me this nerd/geek vibes, maybe Data and Mikey are a bit dorky, but I don't have the feeling they would be seen as totally uncool, just regular.
Stranger Things is the complete opposite. The storyline is dark, the humor is more sophisticated and nothing like that could happen in real life. Also, the boys are basically an example of 'Nerd Class 101'... (And I love them for that!)
So why are we still comparing the two? What makes YOU think about The Goonies when you watch Stranger Things?

Darn reddit. Anyway, the nostalgia vibe reminded me more of 90s shows like Are you Afrais of the Dark, Eerie Indiana, Ghost writer, Jumanji etc. As. 90s kid, these were the shows that i related to ST. It doesnt have to be kids riding bikes or walking along train tracks. Just a bunch of people tryng to solve and make sense of bizzare, unexplainable occurences in their otherwise mundane lives. Its amazing how ST brought back that feeling again. I just love it.
