I just re-watched the first episode and I forgot how charming and evocative the show was. Super pleased to be joining in with the re-watch this year!

That opening scene of Mars in the secret spot, opening up the evidence locker/writing desk and starting his opening narration is absolutely fantastic - it really feels cinematic, like it's the start of a movie not a kid's tv show from nearly 30 years ago

Everything about it is so charming and well executed.

It's super nice when these things actually are as good as you remember!

Its incredibly rewarding when something from your childhood holds up! I remember when I got the dvds, it was over a decade since I'd seen it and I was very nervous sitting down for the first time!

Exactly! And I can imagine! Still, I'm super pleased the show remains as good as it was then today.
