Simon couldn't help thinking just how much he, Marshall, and Dash could learn from kids who'd grown up in Eerie and who, well, hadn't quite survived, but who were at least still around in some form to tell the tale.

Maybe, he thought selfishly, it could stop them from making their same mistakes.
