Eerie Indiana and the Jersey Corn Riots

On September 28, 1769, Jersey (the Channel Island, not Marshall's much-beloved former home town) rioted over corn tariffs imposed by absentee landlords and ineffectual government based in England. For this challenge, think about New Jersey, the Loyal Order of Corn, and come up with a fanworks based on this!

Eerie Indiana Crossover and Non-Canon Day!

It's the 28th of the month, and that means it's officially time to talk about all those non-Eerie fandoms that, despite taking place outside of Eerie city limits, still remind you of the centre of weirdness for the entire planet.

Tell us about the latest episode of Welcome to Nightvale, your ideas for a Gravity Falls crossover, or what Twin Peaks's Andy Brennan would think of Eerie's Officer Knight. Caught up on Lumberjanes or Paper Girls? Tell us about it. Still not caught up on Eureka, Haven or Sleepy Hollow? Ask us about it. Wondering how Mister Radford and Skip from the 'Burbs would get along if they met in ice-cream making school? Me too!

"You know me," said the Mayor. "Light-touch regulation only. I keep the taxes low, I make sure the milk floats have enough engine power to catch a fleeing teenage boy, and once every thirteen years I organise a single camping trip that inevitably has one fatality."

He paused for a moment, considering.

"You know, I think that gives me a better safety record than the Boy Scouts," he added. "Maybe I should make that a talking point for my next campaign."

Radford scoffed, poured them both another glass.

"I don't know why you bother," he said. "Nobody runs against you."
