Amazing Eerie Indiana animation from NadineNecromancer

STORY TIME FOR MY EERIE PEEPS... so Calarts has this challenge where we need to make a film in a week.... and I really wanted to make something for Eerie Indiana... AND I absolutely HATED my finished product.... heheeh it was an incredible learning experience in how not to make a film. I spent way too much time brain storming instead of actually animating which ended up leaving me with only three days to animate. I tried and tried because I really wanted to share it with the Eerie fandom but I could not do it. I was so humiliated by how bad it came out that when my film teacher asked me to replay it I was like “fuck no,” and I just hid it in my school folder. Well here I am almost five months later cleaning out my my stuff when I stumbled upon all of my one week film work. Coming back to it I don’t see the crapy final product as a failure, I see it as a jumping off point! It was a great test for more future Eerie projects! I was discouraged because my animation was crude, and the backgrounds were not finished, but if I had a month I could’ve made something I’m really proud of! SO I’m going at it again! I’m going to re do this project and try to finish it! I will say I loved the feeling I was able to evoke with the music/ the vhs effects, and certain shots and ideas still make me happy! So yeah, life lesson from an animation student, be persistent and don’t give up on something if you really feel like it is your passion project! Endure and try again!
