Related, we bought a couple of seasons of Are You Afraid of the Dark? last year, and while the episodes are SUUUUPER dated, the general concept/creepiness holds up! W was very into it (see also: Eerie, Indiana, a true unsung gem of the 90s.)

Seriously, if you've never watched Eerie, Indiana, track it down. ALSO dated, but man, it's like the most perfect MG series only it's a TV show, not books. (Also, man, the 90s were a good time for Kids Who Liked Creepy Sh*t On TV.)

The lead in Eerie, Indiana featured my first, innocent and confused, pre-adolescent TV crush.

I reference this show a couple times a week, that’s how influential it was to my young life.
