"Aww, no," said Marshall, flopping heavily onto his side. His cheeks were flushed and his too-long hair was sticking to his damp skin.

"What?" said Dash, without opening his eyes.

"I need to pee."

Dash tugged the duvet up over his head.

"So go," he mumbled.

The mattress shifted slightly as Marshall sat up, scrubbing at his face with both hands.

"Don't bogart the covers," he said, tugging at the rumpled bedsheet.

Dash rolled over, opening one eye just enough to stare at Marshall as he swaddled himself in the heavy winter blankets.

Marshall sighed, swinging his legs out over the bed and shivering a little as his feet hit the cold floor.

"Fine," he said. "Guess I'll just freeze to death when I get back."

Dash lifted his head to say something. The duvet cover peeled away from his cheek with a soft, sticky sound. Dash scowled.

"There's jizz on my face," he said, levering himself upright within the tight cocoon of fabric. He leaned over the far side of the bed, picking up the discarded pillows and throwing them haphazardly back onto the mattress.

"Don't," said Marshall.

"What?" said Dash.

"Don't even think about it."

"I'm not thinking about anything."

"Don't wipe come on my pillowcase."

Dash picked up the last cushion, an overstuffed bright blue square with a Jersey Giants football helmet printed on both sides, and lay back.

"I thought you had to pee," he said.

"I do, but I know you're going to wipe your face on my pillow as soon as I leave the room."

"I don't know what you're talking about," said Dash, closing his eyes again. "I'm too tired for this. Go pee and then come back to bed."

He burrowed deeper into the mass of blankets.

Marshall watched him for a moment, then quietly opened the bedroom door and slipped out. Dash heard the click of the bathroom light, followed by splashing.

He grinned.

"I'm wiping my face on your pillowcase!" he called, reaching for it in the dark.

Down the hall, Marshall swore.
