You're not a fan of Channel Zero? i thought Candle Cove had a great creepy feel to the life horror moments, but the actual plot - ie,the stuff that wasn't from the original creepiest - let it down, but I thought the No End House was realy enjoyable. Of course I've not read the original creepypasta for that one.
i think that channel zero doesnt work because it removes the very context of what a creepypasta is meant to be. A creepypasta, by definition is a creepy web (usually forum but that's changed due to the decline in usage of forums) post that is copy and pasted from board to board (see: Squidwards Suicide/Dead Bart) and when you remove that context, it's identical to any other short horror story.
Candle Cove is one of the worst choices they could have made for a Creepypasta because it is entirely composed of forum posts. Admittedly, I am yet to watch No End House.
I think that it would work better with another pasta type, with more of a story to it, Borrasca comes to mind.) It's long, told in a traditional narrator style with a strong voice + Story. Alternatively they could try and be a bit more creative and take on something like Normal Porn for Normal People and forgo the traditional structure altogether.
on a more personal note, the producers of the show fuxed with my main man Slimebeast (the creator of the Abandoned by Disney series) so i am HIGHLY biased in that regard.
But of course that's just my opinion lol. It's mostly just annoyance than actual hatred for it.
