Forum poster on TigerDroppings.com needs help...

I think they were all from the 90's with one or two exceptions. I thought they were all good but they were cancelled because of the wrong time slot or they were put up against strong competition.

1). Guy is a sheriff of a southern town. They whole town is creepy and the sheriff seems to have strange powers although they are hardly ever used. The show centers around him and a boy who may or may not be his son.

2). Kid's family moved to a lake house in the midwest. Make friends with kid next door. They spend most of the show trying to get enough courage to investigate the supposedly haunted house on the other side of the lake. They find out some company is buying up supposedly haunted properties all across the country.

The first one is definitely American Gothic - the second one sounds kinda like Eerie but Eerie didn't have a central overarching investigation throughout the series - any ideas?

i really like american gothic, not as much as eerie, but still. being the kind of show I like doesn't to have boded well for them...

I loved American Gothic, esp when it had the original Doc played by Jake Weber instead of Dr. Billy. So creepy, perfect for the kids who had watched Eerie and were ageing into the adult tv market
