Shawn pulled his hand back and jumped back from the toaster alarmed.
'N- No, sir!' he managed to croak out.

'Good.' said the voice of Grungy Bill as he stepped out of the shadows near the toaster.
Dash X yelped when he saw him.

Me: "Wait, what year did Grungy Bill die? Because I think Halloween would have been a Thing in the States by then...of course, being him, it's possible he wasn't paying sufficient attention...also, it's possible I'm taking Eerie fic way too seriously again..."

To be fair trying and failing to rob a single small-town bank 13 times probably doesn't leave a lot of time for making disguises and extorting candy from neighbours. sad thing is he probably would have benefited from it as a kind of low pressure practice run.
