AprilDalaman on gateway horror
I’m interested, what were your gateways into being a horror fan? What kickstarted your love of the genre? Mine were Scooby Doo, reading Edgar Allen Poe, and those horror based standalone episodes of the X- Files.

I always loved Halloween so when I was little I’d watched every Halloween themed episode of shows I could find & shows like Goosebumps, Eerie Indiana, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, etc cuz my mom wouldn’t let me watch Horror so I’d go watch Horror movies at my friend’s houses lol.

Common Sense Media on talking points for parents watching Eerie Indiana with their kids...
Families can talk about why Eerie, Indiana was so short-lived. Did you find it entertaining? Was it at all scary? Would a show like this succeed today?
That sounds like an extremely pointed talking point tbh.
20th Century Geek on 90s Horror
As a parent, it's a bummer how so much kid horror to show my little horror girl is brand new or from the 80s. The 90s and oughts were a desert.

The 00s I agree with, but my teens were in the 90s (born 81) and I cut my teeth on Eerie Indiana (91), Goosebumps (95), are you afraid of the dark (90). Good entry points before moving to movie horror and weird pic.twitter.com/fstRQMBCTO

OwenDerro on Eerie Indiana
Ah #EerieIndiana ...a show thats on my list of shows ahead of their time & cancelled way too soon. The series finale I’m really interested to hear your thoughts on! Then there was Saban’s attempt to revive it w The Other Dimension in the late 90s...
