Eerie Indiana is a reference to a 90s TV show where strange shit happens-like favouring Trump for example!

My son and I watched a 1992 "Eerie, Indiana" episode about a salesman called "The Donald" who comes to Eerie and turns everyone into consumer zombies who unknowingly sell him their souls. In the end, The Donald -- revealed to be the devil -- is caught by the IRS and goes to hell.

How did I ever miss this series?? I was around 13 when this came out and never recall seeing anything about it. Watched that episode just now and then started at the beginning.

It gets weirder. This is episode 2. Tell me this is not Trump. pic.twitter.com/JyN8Us61I0

Funny you mentioned Joe Dante. He directed the 2nd episode of Eerie, Indiana, with this not-so-subtle jab at what looks like a Trump on the magazine cover.

Not a coincidence, then.https://t.co/pPKMcjuyzH
We’re watching “Eerie Indiana” circa 1993...

Eerie, Indiana was first released in the early 90s; 1 episode features a fake magazine cover with Trump on it, with the headline "our next President?" Also there is an episode with a hyper capitalist Satan who goes by...THE DONALD. The IRS defeats him in the end. Lolz and also 😱

I so wish we'd gotten more Syndi-centered plotlines in the show. *sigh* What could have been for S2

I would have loved to see her have storylines that played into her role in the school newspaper - the Eerie PD, the fire department, the ghost of Tobey Maguire - and I wouldn't have been adverse the a follow up to Tornado Days featuring her role as Miss Tornado Day. #eerieindiana
