In our never ending mission to investigate and explain weird and creepy occurrences, we're asking you to show us something odd from your own evidence lockers and create an eeeeerie story behind it. We'll listen to your tales on Wednesday night, and the best will win a prize!

When we started renovating our new house and garden, we found a few lost toys and wayward footballs from the previous owner's kids. But this *thing* was unearthed during some deeper excavation, wrapped in old newspaper, and buried deep in the furthest corner of the garden.

A interesting oddity, we dusted it off and brought it into the house, bemused by the weird combination of fluffy pompoms and that tiny face. Soon bored, it was chucked in the junk drawer and forgotten about.

Our new home came with new noises to become accustomed to. Creaky doors, noisy pipes, and the usual mumbly sounds of our adjoining neighbour. So when the crying started, we assumed they had a baby... They didn't.

What Culture on Eerie Indiana

Starring Omri Katz of Hocus Pocus fame, this proto-Stranger Things mystery sci-fi series followed the exploits of a couple of outcast teens attempting to uncover the many surreal mysteries in the titular small town.

Unlike the Netflix megahit however, this genre-bending teen series featured everything but the kitchen sink in its strange mythos, from a tornado hunter to Bigfoot to Elvis Presley, still alive and hidden in the eponymous burg. Produced by Gremlins creator Joe Dante, this strange show was an odd mashup of Goosebumps and The X-Files which predated both shows and it more than deserves a re-watch for its influential, surreal tone.

Recommendations please. Watched all Stranger Things with mid kid (10). Not massively my thing but he loved it & it was quality time. Anything in a remotely similar vein out there? (Mind-blowing for kids but adult watchable, basically.)

Young Sheldon is a great show. I wouldn't say it was mind blowing for kids but my boy (10) loves it. It's like the Wonder Years, only funnier. Also watching 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer (wife's choice 😐) and 'Eerie Indiana' (my choice🤩)
