In your own space, promote a canon/talk about a part of canon that you love.

At the risk of being predictable...

Eerie, Indiana aired on NBC from September 15, 1991 to April 12, 1992. It focuses on Marshall Teller, who's just moved from New Jersey to Eerie with his family, and he's pretty sure Eerie is the center of weirdness for the entire planet. Together with his neighbor, Simon Holmes, he investigates the strange things that happen and tries to figure out what exactly it is that makes Eerie, well, Eerie.

While the show only initially aired 18 of 19 episodes and was canceled after one season, it was syndicated on the Disney channel in 1993 and then again in 1997 on Fox. I'm A Relative Youngin' when it comes to this fandom, so I remember watching it on Fox and absolutely loving it. When the DVDs were released in 2004, I immediately bought them and was excited to find out that Eerie lived up to my memory. (The DVDs are no longer available but you can get Eerie on Amazon Prime).

The show itself is well done, strange and weird and full of intrigue. It's fun to watch whether you're a kid or All Grown Up. And it also has one of my favorite fandoms to be in. We are small, but we are pretty spectacular. There's the [community profile] eerieindiana comm, run by the amazing [personal profile] froodle, a podcast called Return to Eerie Indiana that just came out this past year and is so much fun to listen to, talented fanfic writers and aritsts, and lots of theories and ideas and headcanons to play around with.
