Alguien recuerda #eerieindiana ? Me parece que con esta me quedo solo. La serie se centra en Marshall, un pibe que se muda con su familia al pequeño pueblo de Eerie en Indiana. Allí las cosas se ponen raras y muy en la onda de X Files comienzan a ocurrir extraños sucesos. Fueron 19 episodios cortos en una sola temporada. #joedante estuvo detrás de cámaras en varios y medio que fue como un showrunner de la serie. Hubo una Remake con otro protagonista y con el mismo tono llamada La Otra Dimensión.

Channel22 on Fear Street and Eerie Indiana

Summer of 2021 has had some interesting, and fun movies, but nothing (so far) more engaging than the Netflix adaptation of R.L. Stine's Fear Street. Goosebumps was a bit after my time (shout-out to Eerie, Indiana), but it seemed to be a watered down Tales from the Crypt. There is nothing watered down about this. Wowza.

Meanwhile, Katz ended up playing the role of Max perfectly, and it didn't hurt that he already had a bit of a spooky background after starring in the '90s series "Eerie, Indiana" (via IMDb). In 2018, Katz opened up about the role (via E!). "I would've never imagined it in my life. It was a great movie to make, I guess I just didn't know it would have such a cult following. It's a trip. It's a really big trip." Now, "Hocus Pocus" has become so popular that Disney has even greenlit a sequel set for 2022 (via Variety).

Eerie Indiana and Eggs

My pupper dug up a hen's egg (with red lion stamp)! It was buried on a grass roundabout, in the courtyard we share with 3 other houses. Stranger still, the two of the neighbours told me they had also found eggs buried in flower pots and beds around the courtyard. Who/what buries eggs?

One theory is that it is a fox, but where is he getting store bought eggs?? I asked the guy next door if he was trying to grow chickens but he denies it.

I just don't understand what is going on. What's the point in burying eggs???

This is like a Round The Twist storyline. There's got to be some magical and creepy reason.

I loved that show as a kid. Along with Eerie Indiana.

Eerie Indiana: One Series Wonder

In light of Lovecraft Country not being renewed, and Handmaid's Tale expanding far beyond the original source material, I'd like to make a thread celebrating those excellent single season shows that could otherwise get lost to time.



It's always annoying when you find out that a show has been renewed, or an actor has been re-signed, before you finish a series. It feels like a spoiler, and you know that they'll go for a less satisfying ending now that they've got more episodes to fill.



Also, let's not fuck around here. Some stories are short, self-contained, and don't require The Continuing Adventures of Oskar Schindler. Or we get outfaced by finding a show with five seasons to conquer.
