a campaign style ad for mayor of Eerie starts playing, and it’s like…Weird and Unsettling before it reveals that the candidate in question is Mayor Simon (Justin Shenkarow, obv), and he’s smiling and such and his slogan is like ‘Let’s Clean Up Eerie’ or smth generic but sort of threatening like that.

then, the image begins to flicker and get grainy, then suddenly

we cut away to Dash X (Jason Marsden), who is obviously holding the camera on himself and looking around like he’s scared or maybe worried and he says something to the effect of ‘Marshall, if you’re out there, you need to come home. Simon’s not trying to clean up Eerie, he’s trying to destroy it!’ before he suddenly drops the camera. it lands, the lense cracks and we watch Dash get dragged away by a couple of faceless goons.

Cut to Black.

White text pops up: EERIE INDIANA 9:00PM FRIDAY THE 13th

I mean commercial ARGs are lame but can you imagine having to follow hints Dash left on the internet and visiting Simons campaign site and Eerie Tourism? Sarah Sues commission site? Having to run Music made by Tod through a spectrogram? Having to avoid Red Herrings placed by Simon?
