youve never heard of welsh indie darling marina diamandis AKA Marina and the Diamonds AKA MARINA? She was super popular in like 2013-2014 tumblr fandom, but i was turned onto her by my ex gf who covered one of songs lol. She's usually lined up with Florence and the Machine and Lana Del Rey.
im really partial to Froot in terms of albums, but they're all good if youre planning on giving a listen. shes also has heaps of unreleased stuff floating around, The Archetypes and EVOL being personal faves of mine :-)
For whatever reason, I never seem to hear about bands or musicians until years after everyone else. It's not even like I don't know people who enjoy music, it just always passes me by. It's why I like fandom playlists and why I kinda wish songfics hadn't gone out of fashion
