Eerie, Indiana fanfiction: Informed Shopper

Written for Day 25 of the 31_days challenge. The prompt was "ouija board"



The Ouija board lay in a glass display case at the very back of the World o’ Stuff, hidden by a bargain hunter’s bounty of marked-down soft toys that may or may not have carried horrible curses deep within their white fluffy innards. It had no price tag, but its cellophane wrapper was gone and the cardboard box was stained with bloody fingerprints which hinted that the cost may be very high indeed. The clear plastic window in the planchette was cracked across the centre, and anyone who got close enough could hear voices that alternated between pleading for release and screaming for vengeance, seemingly at random.

Simon looked at the small crumpled wad of bills he held in his hand, and decided to do something else with his birthday money.
