Eerie, Indiana fanfiction: Haul

Written for Day 28 of the 31_days October challenge. The prompt I used for this one was "trick or treat"



Marshall stared at the party platter loaded with cupcakes, and the cupcakes stared back.

“Those... are gummy sweets, right?” he asked.

Simon made a see-sawing gesture with the hand not currently holding a take-out cup full of slowly wriggling tentacles.

Marshall extended a tentative finger in the direction of the cupcakes. One of them, a vanilla and chocolate swirl in a pastel pink wrapper and topped with a huge blue eye, blinked. Marshall rapidly withdrew the finger, and took a step back from the table for good measure.

“I hate trick or treating in this town,” he muttered. Simon nodded.
