What are your favorite fanon theories about Mayor Chisel?

I resent that mayor chisel being gay is merely fanon. I think it should be canonized. Perhaps if we all pray really hard -

im kidding. I love the idea that came up during the Weird and Wed event of him having the most normal guy sitcom husband in the world who is totally unaware of anything being strange about his husband. idk i just really like that.

IMO - I think Mayor Chisel is human, and a sort of mundane evil but like in his youth he was the mirror darkly version of Marshall. Like, something happened that made both of them notice the weirdness of Eerie and while Marshall is content to simply study weirdness and not intervene unless it directly affects him and his (not freeing everyone from the mind control glasses for example) young Winston studied weirdness and then tried (and possibly succeeded) to take advantage of it.

I feel like the discrepency in his job title (from bank manager to mayor) is a direct result of weirdness intervening. Like he made a monkey paw deal of some kind to be elevated above his station somehow.

And I also LOVED the idea that we were kicking around a few years ago about him being Harley's real father. I just need to figure out how to implement that into a fic somehow.....

I definitely HC him as queer. I always kinda shipped him with Radford, though I also super love your idea of him having the most normal husband who is completely oblivious to the weirdness and the Mayor being Generally Evil, lol.

I do kind of like thinking of him as an Eldritch Horror, but I think him being a Human evil makes way more sense.

Okay I never actually gave a ton of thought to the "going from bank manager to mayor" beyond "they needed a body and had an actor who could do it" but it being the weirdness/a monkeys paw makes way, way more sense.

I...Don't remember the Chisel as Harley's dad discussion but damn does that intrigue me!!

Oh, I love the whole Winston as dark Marshall theory. Actually, I want more fic for all of these.

Some theories about Mayor Chisel formulated during date night following the consumption of adult substances:

• Chisel's been around a long time and periodically picks a different job. He probably picks the years when there's going to be a recession and shit to not be mayor.
• He's mayor again in Mr. Chaney specifically for the purpose of getting elected during a werewolf year during hard times and saving the town from a recession--which he figures is a sure thing because werewolf year--but Marshall screws everything up.
• Chisel accidentally summoned Dash and didn't mean to. Now he's got to get rid of him.
• Radford is questioning his relationship with Chisel and that's why he got sent to the basement (while fake Radford took over)
• What if Radford was the previous Marshall and Ned was his Dash?
• The Shucker's Bowl-A-Thon was the first Radford/Chisel blow job.
