As promised, what with this being the month of Halloween and all, the Honcho-SFX blog is back with another spooktacular themed post, to terrify you to the very core!

Oh, wait a minute, today’s entry isn’t all that terrifying; instead it’s quite nice really. You see, today the Honcho-SFX blog is all about one of the best – if not the best – Halloween-themed movies of all time – Hocus Pocus! Oh, well, whilst it might not be terrifying, Hocus Pocus is still pretty awesome and completely in-keeping with the theme, so let’s continue.

Produced by Walt Disney Pictures and released in 1993, Hocus Pocus is a light-hearted supernatural comedy which is now regarded as an annual favourite for Halloween lovers. To put it quite simply, Hocus Pocus is to Halloween, what Home Alone (1990) and The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992) is to Christmas and it’s not all that surprising really as it is packed with colourful characters, a talking cat, a well placed musical number and enough soft scares to keep the whole family entertained – yep, even the youngest members of the household.
