“Eerie, Indiana” (já aqui vista) não foi um enorme sucesso na Televisão, mas gerou culto.
Foi o suficiente para que um canal de Televisão canadiano fizesse um spin-off.
Mitchell Taylor e Stanley Hope são dois jovens e grandes amigos.
Vivem em Eerie, Idiana, e descobre que a povoação anda a ser alvo de estranhos eventos.
O duo decide investigar.
E divertidas peripécias se dão.
Inspirada pela série “Eerie, Indiana”, criada por Jose Rivera e Karl Schaefer

A História de “Eerie, Indiana”
Tal como a série que inspira este spin-off/sequela/continuação, faz-se uma imersão pelo bizarro e pelo insólito, com toques de fantasia e sci-fi, em moldes infantis, no centro de uma comunidade idílica e típica para a concretização do american dream.
Há humor, intriga, mistério, drama, tudo unido pela consistência de uma grande amizade e pelo sentido de união familiar.
Os dois protagonistas têm química e carisma, comportam-se de forma muito natural e geram simpatia e carinho por parte do espectador.
O restante elenco entra no jogo de forma igualmente descontraída.
Na comparação, este spin-off ressente-se da ausência de Joe Dante (era força vital criativa da série original).
Isso nota-se no humor, no campo visual e fantasista.
Mesmo assim, “Eerie, Indiana: The Other Dimension” faz boa figura com a sua antecessora e oferece bom entretenimento.
Tal como Marshall e Simon (os protagonistas da original), também Mitchell e Stanley merecem um lugar no coração do nerd.
Estávamos já no final dos 90s, mas ainda havia ecos da fórmula da teen fantasy 80s, made by Dante e Spielberg.
Recomendável.

The remaining cast enters the game in an equally relaxed manner.
In comparison, this spin-off resents the absence of Joe Dante (it was the creative life force of the original series).
This is noticeable in humor, in the visual field and fantasist.
Even so, "Eerie, Indiana: The Other Dimension" looks good with its predecessor and provides good entertainment.
