I'm home from work so I'm editing my post for...like...clarity?

its awesome because I was talking to deifire about how it would be super sweet if eerie got all big and we had conventions and by z and I was like I LOVE FILK SINGERS but like normally.only the really HUGE fandoms get them and suddenly youre like LOL HAVE FILK and im like WHAT DOES LJ MAKE DREAMS COME TRUE NOW I WANT TO LOOK LIKE COLIN FARRELL

totally with you on tumblr - I love the texts from last night fandom mashups but for actual convos, forget it. the only.time I see an interesting tumblr convo in a format I can actually read is that best of tumblr on fb, and those.are already dead and gone by the time.you get to them

LJ has gone ded and I have yet to see an adequate replacement for the fandom-y discussions/groups/whatever besides dreamwidth and that...clearly didn't take off.

I remember being so excited when I got my dw invite code because it was like... it was when lj was having outages and making ugly layout changes and being really shit and annoying and you could import your whole lj to dw with like 3 clicks and it was gonna be this huge brave new world.

and it seems like it just never happened. like, theres a great wtnv comm and the losers fandom is epic and lovely and super active over there, but everything else is kinda... not. and everything I read there I already read on lj so at this point its a backup in case lj crashes.

Filk is super big in like...Harry Potter fandom with Wizard Rock (or Wrock). And I know of some awesome LotR inspired songs.
