I suppose I shouldn't encourage fic writing at work, but I am seriously considering changing the topic of this conference paper proposal to "Information-Seeking Behavior in Small, Weird Towns in the United States" because that is more relevant to anything I'm interested in actually researching right now.

I am actively self-banned from writing Eerie fic in stats class any more. It's not just that my brain does weird things with the X variable, it's also the time the professor tried to explain how to use the "item" option with our software package and I couldn't explain what was funny...

yup, I used to find bookkepping excercises really hard if they used X in one f the columns. and I had this one mate who knew about eerie and id snigger and shed be like CAT SHUT UP OKAY?! and id just laugh harder.

I feel like I'm getting sloppy with my podfics and it makes me feel bad. Like. I keep hearing slip ups that I didn't catch while recording :(

I havent noticed any. I mean I can tell sometimes that youre trying not to laugh at something but honestly hearing it in the person telling the story just makes me laugh harder.

I was working on it and I was like "I CAN'T FIT EVERYTHING I WANT IN THIS!" 'cause of the way I wrote it so then I was like "well clearly I must write more"

it does fine as a standalone piece because its like, heres how it starts, heres what happens in the interim, heres your denouement, and thats all great, but it could also veery easily be the jumping ff point for a whole new take on the eerie verse
