I'm thinking of writing an AU based on "Timekeeper" by Tara Sim where Marshall is a mechanic and Dash X is a clock spirit...

Ooh this sounds interesting, and also like it might fit well with the Lost Hour time travel aspects and the Loyal Order of Corn/fashion portal. I'm not familiar with the timekeeper tho - what's a clock spirit?

So in "Timekeeper" there's this whole mythology and in the hierarchy of gods, the god of Time sent out time tendrils into the world and created clocktowers to regulate time. Each clocktower is inhabited by a clockspirit who basically is the tower.

(Also, the thought "Dash is the tower" has my brain going to a Stephen King place, for good or ill.)

Okay but then how can Dash be both the tower and the man in black, because he's not gonna let anyone else be more man in black than him?

I'm still plotting this bit, but am pretty sure that Marshall's ka-tet Simon is The Boy, Melanie Monroe is the Lady of Shadows, and, well, he's already got an Eddie...
