Desperate to save their ghost-hunting show, Jack Wilson (Chad Michael Murray) and Angela (Danielle Harris) travel to a supposedly haunted summer camp, but they get more than they bargained for in Camp Cold Brook, a new horror movie directed by Andy Palmer and executive produced by the legendary Joe Dante. With Camp Cold Brook coming to theaters, Digital, and VOD on February 14th from Shout! Studios, we've been provided with an exclusive clip to share with Daily Dead readers!

Synopsis: "Reality TV producer and host Jack Wilson (Chad Michael Murray, House Of Wax, Riverdale) finds himself in a tough spot when his show Haunt Squad is about to be cancelled. In a last-ditch effort to spark ratings, he and his producer Angela (Danielle Harris, Halloween, Halloween II) choose to film their next episode at the legendary Camp Cold Brook, which was host to a horrific incident when the young campers were drowned in a nearby creek 20 years ago. Their arrival begins like any other episode … but when this remote, backwoods camp begins to reveal its secrets, the TV crew find that they’ve gotten more than they bargained for."

‘Camp Cold Brook’ Starring Danielle Harris and Exec Produced by Joe Dante Releasing Next Month

We finally have a date for the supernatural horror film Camp Cold Brook, which was executive produced by Joe Dante and directed by Andy Palmer (The Funhouse Massacre).

Danielle Harris (Halloween 4 & 5, Rob Zombie’s Halloween, Hatchet II) and Chad Michael Murray (House of Wax) star in the film, releasing in select theaters and on VOD February 14.

In the film, “Murray stars as reality TV producer and host Jack Wilson, who finds himself in a tough spot when his show is about to be canceled. In a last-ditch effort to spark ratings, he and his producer Angela (Harris) choose to film their next episode at the legendary Camp Cold Brook, which was host to a horrific incident where the young campers were drowned in a nearby creek 20 years ago. Michael Eric Reid, Courtney Gains and Candice De Visser also star.

Joe Dante's Camp Cold Brook enlists scream queen Danielle Harris

Gremlins director Joe Dante is producing a new horror movie titled Camp Cold Brook, and he’s tapped an SSR agent and a scream queen to star in the film.

According to Deadline, Chad Michael Murray (who played East Coast SSR chief Jack Thompson on Marvel’s Agent Carter) and Danielle Harris (Halloween) will headline the movie, currently in production. The premise for the film is somewhat interesting, if a tad generic, considering Harris has already starred in Camp Dread. Still, it's giving me a lot of Halloween: Resurrection (2002) vibes. So hey, I'll bite. Could be fun.

Here’s a description of the storyline and the characters played by Murray and Harris:

"Murray stars as reality TV producer and host Jack Wilson, who finds himself in a tough spot when his show is about to be cancelled. In a last ditch effort to spark ratings, he and his producers Angela (Harris) choose to film their next episode at the legendary Camp Cold Brook, which was host to a horrific incident where the young campers were drowned in a nearby creek 20 years ago. Their arrival begins like any other episode but the TV crew find that they get more than they bargained for."

Joining Dante in producing Cold Camp Brook are Warner Davis of Petri Entertainment, Mark Alan of Renfield Productions, and Jason Van Eman and Ross Marroso of Weathervane Productions. Andy Palmer (The Funhouse Massacre) will direct, from a script by Alex Carl (Reeves Road).

There’s no premiere date for the movie yet, but since they’re currently filming, my best guess is that it’ll hit the screens sometime in 2018. What do you think of the premise?

CAMP COLD BROOK centers around a horrific incident in 1993 when dozens of young campers without warning, stand at attention, seemingly in a hypnotic trance and proceed attack not only each other, but the staff as well with deadly intent. The survivors then bind their feet with rope tethered to large rocks and drag themselves into the nearby lake. Twenty-five years later Reality TV Ghost Hunter, Jack Wilson, finds himself in a tough spot. His show, “Haunted Places”, is on the brink of being cancelled.

In a last ditch effort to spark ratings to land a final season, he and his producers as well as their trusted cameraman choose the legend of Camp Cold Brook to try and save their show. Their arrival begins like any other episode. Cameras are placed, and the team sets up shop in the dilapidated lodge and wait. But this is not going to be a regular episode. The terror here was real and the 30 are about to rise.
