eerieindianaLa Frecuencia Kirlian (también conocida en inglés como Ghost Radio[1] o The Kirlian Frequency[2]) es una serie web animada argentina estrenada en 2017[3] en las plataformas YouTube y Vimeo, y que desde el 15 de febrero de 2018 se encuentran exclusivamente en el catálogo de Netflix[4][5]. La serie gira en torno a una radio que sólo transmite de noche, en un pequeño pueblo encontrado en el interior de la provincia de Buenos Aires donde ocurren toda clase de eventos macabros y sobrenaturales[6]. La Frecuencia Kirlian combina dos tópicos clásicos del cine y la televisión de terror como lo son la radio de trasnoche y el pequeño extraño pueblo al estilo de Stephen King o Eerie Indiana.
La productora Tangram Cine[7] produjo en 2009 un primer piloto[8], de manera independiente y con acción real, mismo que fue anunciado en sus redes sociales durante la época[9][10] pero cuya post-producción jamás se fue finalizada[11][12]. Dicho piloto fue escrito y dirigido por Cristian Ponce y Pedro Saieg.
Durante los siguientes ocho años la serie adoptó diferentes formas y fue presentada a distintas convocatorias nacionales e internacionales, como proyecto para serie de televisión o largometraje[13].
En 2015, su creador Cristian Ponce decidió encarar el proyecto con forma de serie animada. Con el apoyo de Hernán Bengoa (con quien ya había trabajado durante dos temporadas de Policompañeros Motorizados[14]), dieron forma a esta nueva encarnación que se apoyaba en una estructura de antología clásica al estilo de Twilight Zone o Tales from the Crypt, sumado a una mínima serialidad dada por la intervención del Locutor, su presentador - personaje protagonista, en los problemas de la localidad.
La nueva versión fue producida por Tangram Cine y Decimu Labs[15], y realizada casi en su totalidad por un equipo reducido de cuatro personas: Cristian Ponce (guión, dirección y animación), Hernán Bengoa (guión e ilustraciones), Hernán Biasotti (diseño de sonido) y Marcelo Cataldo (música original). Esto sin contar los actores de voz: Nicolás Van de Moortele, Casper Uncal, María Dupláa, Letizia Bloisi, Ciro Herce, Milagros Molina y Jorge Alonso[16].
Las serie está compuesta por cinco episodios, cada uno estrenado con tres meses de diferencia de los demás.
La serie toma varios elementos típicos del cine y la televisión de corte fantástico como la radio de trasnoche (con The Fog, Night Visions, Pontypool [17][18] como eferentes de ficción; y Coast to Coast AM y La Mano Peluda en el mundo real) y el pueblo chico / infierno grande (Eerie Indiana, IT, Gravity Falls o Scarfolk[19]).
Durante los últimos años esta misma combinación se ha visto representada en varias producciones como los podcast Welcome to Night Vale y King Falls AM o el web comic MIdnight Radio
A mediados de 2018 La Frecuencia Kirlian desapareció virtualmente de todas sus redes sociales y solo a fines de enero de 2019 se anunció su regreso a través de Netflix[20], doblada además al inglés y el portugués para su estreno internacional

The producer Tangram Cine [7] produced in 2009 a first pilot [8], independently and with real action, which was announced on their social networks during the time [9] [10] but whose post- production was never finalized [11] [12]. Said pilot was written and directed by Cristian Ponce and Pedro Saieg.
During the following eight years the series adopted different forms and was presented to different national and international calls, as a project for a television series or feature film [13].
In 2015, its creator Cristian Ponce decided to approach the project in the form of an animated series. With the support of Hernán Bengoa (with whom he had already worked for two seasons of Escorted Escorted Escorts [14]), they shaped this new incarnation based on a classic anthology structure in the style of Twilight Zone or Tales from the Crypt, added to a minimum seriality given by the intervention of the announcer, his presenter - main character, in the problems of the locality.
The new version was produced by Tangram Cine and Decimu Labs [15], and made almost entirely by a small team of four people: Cristian Ponce (script, direction and animation), Hernán Bengoa (script and illustrations), Hernán Biasotti (sound design) and Marcelo Cataldo (original music). The series takes several typical elements of the cinema and the television of fantastic cut like the radio of late night (with The Fog, Night Visions, Pontypool [17] [18] like efferentes of fiction, and Coast to Coast AM and the Hand Hairy in the real world) and the small town / big hell (Eerie Indiana, IT, Gravity Falls or Scarfolk [19]).
During the last years this same combination has been represented in several productions like the podcasts Welcome to Night Vale and King Falls AM or the web comic MIdnight Radio
In the middle of 2018 the Kirlian Frequency virtually disappeared from all its social networks and only at the end of January 2019 was it announced its return via Netflix [20], also dubbed into English and Portuguese for its international premiere
