They look cool on an approximation (a drawing, a 3d character), you try to put them on an actual human they never fail to look like a really bad wig. ianungstad: There's some family films/series in the Lakeshore library that might be alright.

The Quest (Brian Trenchard-Smith) is one I have fond memories of.

I haven't seen it but with all these studios picking up titles...someone has to FINALLY release Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night.

There's also an amazing series Joe Dante was heavily involved with...Eerie; Indiana which is ripe for re-discovery in this age of "It" and "Stranger Things".

Unfilled Prompts for Better Weird than Dead: An Eerie, Indiana Fic Fest

so at some point in the future, mars abandons trying to convince the world of the existence of all things weird and unexplainable and instead turns his childhood experiances into a series of (novels/short story collections/whatever)

and later generations in eerie are actually using them as research material and how-to guides in their own battles against the forces of weirdness

and like, all the characters from the show are there, but very much told from marshalls perspective n probably edited a little for dramatic effect/creative license/driving the story, because mars is kind of an unreliable narrator

also.bonus if you actually have the peeps from the show appear in cameos,like.older dead grumpy mars whose all bitter because nobody believed him, or simon being like, I was never that naive, or whatevs.
