Book recommendations?

New to the group, I just got my DVDs of the series a few days ago. I was thinking of ordering some of the books, does anyone have any recommendations? And does Dash X actually appear in any of the books? I haven’t seen any mention of him so far in blurbs.

I've got the complete set of the books, been rereading them after getting the DVDs, and both #2: Bureau of Lost and #4: Simon and Marshall's Excellent Adventure, both written by John Peel, have Dash X in them. He only shows up for about 30 pages in #2, but has a major role in #4.
