Eerie, Indiana Rewatch 2017: Mister Chaney

Head off into the mountain with some weird farmer guy you've never met before, I'm sure that will never work out badly. Time to rewatch Mister Chaney.

you know. presumably the kids themselves put their names in so who thought ppl would buy that Dash refers to himself as "that kid with grey hair"...

YES! this bothers me every time I watch this episode - why would he do that?! It makes no sense!

I do enjoy that Dash didn't just put Mars's name in and leave it. He put mars's name in, yes, but he also did research to figure out wtf was going on.

I like to think he had a crisis of conscience - like, he doesn't know what the harvest king lottery entails, but he can glean from the overheard conversation with radford chisel and chaney that it's not a good thing. So he chucks mars under the bus, but then has second thoughts and tried to figure out exactly what is involved, and when he realises it's (reading between the lines) deadly, he comes back to rescue him.

"Marshall, you're alive!" why do I feel like Simon knew more about this than he let on...

I think that's just Simon being aware of how deadly Eerie can be. Like, he's always pleasantly surprised when his best friend doesn't get killed, but he also knows that Marshall dying doesn't necessarily mean they wouldn't get to see each other again, or even continue to handle out regularly

I still think that's why he had to pay his back taxes in Zombies in PJs - failure to pollute other way while a werewolf eats someone in town
