"Hey, did you just call me Blue?"

"Yes.' the kid snapped matter-of-factly. 'Blue means friend here, right?"

"Not that I'm aware of! Where did you say you come from?"

The kid checked his watch. It was made of yellow rubber with a weird green glass where the numbers should be.

"Philadelphia."

Dash eyed him warily and stopped.

"I think I'll be heading back to school, lunch is almost over and I didn't get to finish my salami and cheese."

The kid slapped his forehead like he'd just remembered something. "I interrupted your eat time! I'm sorry, friend! Where can we find food around here?"

Simon readjusted himself on his elbow and turned the page of the brand new comic book Dash had just dropped off. It was extremely generous of him, in fact it was a little suspicious how nice Dash had been to him. It worried him a little, but he was too sick to do anything about it just yet, so he continued reading about how Kendal the tigerman and Josie the elephant trainer were on their way to the military camp to rescue Tallulah and her merry band of thieves.

Still, he had an awfully strange feeling in his stomach, and it wasn't just the sickness getting to him. ...

Fabulo-so

Dash patted around the dark storage closet for those extra work books and pink erasers Mrs Davenport wanted, sneezing as plumes of dust invaded his breathing space.

"Got em." His black coat rustling as he sauntered back to class, he thought about where he was going to sit that day at lunch. Would he play it cool and disappear for an hour, leaving Marshall to assume that he found someplace or something better to eat? Or would he sit nonchalantly beside him in the cafeteria, and hope that the butterflies would pass?

His thoughts were interrupted by an unfamiliar voice as he reentered the classroom.

"Fabulo-so!"

Dash scanned the room and met the adoring eyes of a new student.

"Well there's hope for me after all!" A black-haired kid wearing a long purple scarf jumped up and circled Dash, eating up every detail of his coat, shirt and jeans before crouching down and investigating the mismatched shoe laces. "Such flair!"

Dash found himself temporarily amused by the new kid's gall, but as he felt the nimble hands mess with his shoes, he kicked back and snarled at him. "Look kid - show's over. The circus act's on the other side of town."

Later, at lunch, Dash decided to sit next to Marshall. Marshall was sitting next to a few of his 'normal' friends. Simon hadn't been in school the past two days. Dash reminded himself to visit him after school to see if he was feeling any better. Puking neon yellow usually wasn't a good sign.

As usual, Marshall ignored him. It had been a long time since he'd lost interest.

But Dash just sat there anyway, hoping that his presence would stir his curiosity.

A warm hand tapped him on the shoulder from behind. Dash turned.

"Is it eat time?"

"Huh?" This kid was even weirder than Marshall.

"Can I sit here?' without waiting for a reply, the mystery kid sat down, straddling the bench to face him. 'I didn't mean to offend you earlier. I'm an exchange student, and I was pretty bummed about being chosen for this town - I mean, nobody seems very interesting here. That is, until I saw you."

Marshall leaned across a wide-mouthed Dash to answer. "I'm guessing you haven't been here very long. Eerie's about as interesting as they come. You've just gotta look for it."

The kid glared at Marshall, making him gulp nervously. He flashed his eyes at Dash, and took his hand. Dash recoiled from his hot grip, but he held on to him tight.

"Let's get out of this place, Blue."

Marshall followed Dash's gaze as he was pulled out of the cafeteria, and with a confused frown, mouthed the word 'Blue?' to him. Before Dash could react, he was out of sight.

Everytime I listen to this show, I can't help but think of Mr. Radford. The personality, the looks, the knowledge. Just fits!

((Just to recap I've been trying to dream of Eerie Indiana using methods I wrote about here http://eerie-indiana.livejournal.com/47215.html))

Finally, success! And it only took 3 months :) (So worth it)

Sooo I took some lucid dreaming pill last night (it's actually an over-the-counter memory enhancer for alzheimers patients, but hey). I wasn't even trying to dream of Dash, I'd sort of given up at this point. But I became lucid (think Inception, controlling your dreams from within), and this is the dream I had:

Ello all! Had a four-hour bus/train ride yesterday, and decided to use that time to write some eeriefic.

Ok so I was thinking, if anyone wants to pick up where this story left off and write the next paragraph or a whole story, you're totally welcome to. I wanna see what ideas are floating around out there :)

Oh, and if you want to upgrade to pg-13, or (yes please) R-rated, be my guest.

I can't remember if I've ever mentioned this before (I don't think so) but I found something mega weird while watching "Mr. Chaney"  a while back. I just so happened to pause it (at 20:20) when there seemed to be something strange on Marshall's jeans.

What the hell right? It looks like there's a word above the wolf too but I can't make it out. I took a screen shot but lost it, so I had to find it again, and it's literally just a split-second, so you have to put the speed on like 30% or something to get it and keep pausing. I just wonder if there's more of these, maybe one in each episode? And what's the word above the wolf, it's driving me crazy!!

This is in response to [livejournal.com profile] yarol_2075 's post The Weirdness of Time.

Wow. I noticed so many new things rewatching it this time around, I guess cus I was actually looking out for any details that might give me clues about the timeline. The cat looking through the window (or just perched on it?) outside the dog pound, for example. Maybe I'm getting a bit overzealous here but I paused where Marshall was writing in his journal in 'ATM with a Heart of Gold' (at 22:30) and could make out these words (if anyone can make out the other words please let me know!)

...This place is nothing like NJ. ... This place is so backwards (?) no ..., homeless people, no ___ or museums on every corner. The ____ shop has pretty good root beer floats though. I've gotta start school tomorrow. Oh boy here I go. I'll check(?) back later.

I rewatched the first few eps and remembered reading that the last episode was actually meant to have been shown earlier on..so I checked wikipedia, and listed them according to when they were produced (as opposed to when they were aired). I also added if they were in school during the episode to give us any idea of a linear timeline.

So here they are, by production code: )

It's February 1st, time to start a 30-day challenge. I invite anyone else to share their Eerie, Indiana-related dreams too :)

Quick back-story: I've been heavily into lucid dreaming the past year or so (becoming aware in your dreams, think Inception), there's a group where I live and we'd do experiments etc. Everyone says when you start, all you wanna do is 1) fly, or 2) bone. And apparently you can 'bone anyone you want, any famous celebrity, in any setting you imagine.' But everyone I know is wayyy past that stage and mature (blah) and only using it for philosophical purposes now. For me it's just the opposite: I started it to find answers to something weird that was going on in my life, paranormal-ish stuff (weird recurring dreams). But now I don't really care about that, and I just want to have FUN :D

So if, in theory, I can dream about anything/anyone I choose, I think you all know by now who it's going to be :>

I tried this once last year. I became lucid and said 'take me to Dash x!' and a person, then later a chimpanzee took me flying through ceilings and rooms until finally I was all alone, floating in tv static. You've gotta be kidding me. This was basically my subconscious saying 'oh, you want to meet a tv character from a show that's no longer on the air do you? here you go, this is all that's left of him now! muahahaha!'

So this will be a challenge to see if I can do it...I spent a week first writing down my dreams as soon as I wake up, just to get my dream recall up, then I tried the intention to dream of him the past few nights and these are my results:

Well, I'm drunk. My little brother's staying until he can find a place and job. I was sooo happy he moved here as we're quite close but today he risked getting me and my flatmate evicted - luckily we didn't but it was ridiculously stupid and I have no choice but to get him to stay with our uncle instead..who's out of town now so..sigh..meh. So I went to the pub to drink and calm down, and now I'm drunk.

And I was reading the next book I received, Simon and Marshall's Excellent Adventure. Oh man!!!
