So, I’m rewatching Eerie, Indiana, which was a criminally underated show that should have lasted more than a season.

Anyway, I’m on the last episode, “Reality Takes a Holiday”, and I had a thought:

What if the “reality” reality where lead character Marshall finds himself as the actor who plays him, Omri Katz, is the same reality as the Supernatural “The French Mistake” episode, and possibly the Legends of Tomorrow episode “Zari, Not Zari” (where the Legends wind up on the set of Supernatural)?

Eerie, Indiana arrived at the onset of the teen supernatural craze that took hold in the mid-to-late '90s, but unlike more popular successors like 1995's Goosebumps or 1997's Buffy the Vampire Slayer, it was relegated to a one-season run, between 1991 and 1992. The show centered on Marshall Teller, who moves with his family to Eerie, Indiana, population 16,661, and quickly discovers that things are not as idyllic as they appear.

Along with his best friend Simon, Marshall takes stock of all the weirdness he runs into, preserving evidence in a locker that only he holds the key to.

The show may have been marketed to kids, but its appeal stretched much further. The show's stories vacillated between quirky and genuinely dark, often finding space between. Gremlins' Joe Dante directed several of the series' best episodes, including the premiere, and his signature comedic style set the tone for the entire season. Fox made an attempt to recreate the series in 1998 with Eerie, Indiana: The Other Dimension, but it, like most copies, couldn't recapture the magic of the original. it's a family show but it's fun.

It's set in a weird town, each episode focuses on a different weird thing going on (TV mummy crosses over to real world, A kid befriends an ATM).

And 2 teens try to uncover & solve the problems.

With season 1 of Netflix’s newest horror offering Chilling Adventures of Sabrina burning up the Tomatometer — currently 96% on 27 reviews — we thought we’d make a list to see how she measures up against the best horror TV of all time. Our ranking includes the Friday release’s Netflix brethren The Haunting of Hill House, which is Certified Fresh at 92% (with 63 reviews of season 1) and lands at No. 9 on our list of 100 binge-worthy horror shows.

But choosing the best ever horror TV show can make your eyes twitch and head spin until you take a chainsaw to your computer — debating whether Lucifer belongs in the horror genre or is more of a crime procedural finally put us over the edge.

For one, horror bleeds into so many other genres; it sometimes dabbles in star-crossed romance like in HBO’s True Blood and conjures the dark humor of Starz’s Ash vs. Evil Dead. It even takes a stab at social commentary through the FX anthology American Horror Story. You may wonder why we slashed others: The blue-eyed Night King and his ilk are certainly terrifying on HBO’s Game of Thrones, but with those dragons and Red priestesses, “best horror TV show”? Not exactly. GoT falls more into the fantasy category. The Magicians, Dead Like Me, and Lost Girl met the same fate. Similarly, Black Mirror falls under sci-fi; in fact, it turns up as No. 9 on our list of the “100 Best Sci-Fi TV Shows of All Time.” True-crime documentaries and dramas — like Netflix’s Making a Murderer or its serial killer drama Mindhunter — are left off this list even if the acts depicted there are more terrifying than anything we might see on AMC’s zombie series The Walking Dead (which, of course, is included).

To rank the scary TV shows in this monster list, we took the critics’ Tomatometer score (where available) into consideration, plus the rankings of a number of reputable “best of” lists, and then applied some editorial discretion, asking ourselves which horror TV series have stood the test of time, inspired spin-offs and copycats, and even made their influence known on the big screen. 21. Eerie, Indiana (Eerie, Indiana)
This NBC series lasted just one season in the early 1990s. Yet, for those who remember the show, they probably can't forget the elements within this strange community. From those keenly smart dogs to the idea that Elvis Presley might still be alive and taking up residency in the town, Eerie, Indiana was funny, yet dramatic, enough to get a shot. This would have been a fun place to visit.

Not only a singer-songwriter, he has composed songs for television series including Boon and one of my favourite television series growing up, the classic Eerie Indiana.

“I always get a kick out of people discovering that they have been hearing my music, without actually having been aware of it. On Eerie Indiana, my brother in law wrote and produced that series and he invited me to do some select songs that I enjoyed contributing to the show like ‘Forever Ware’. I had a great time contributing those songs. I also did the incidental music for the TV Series Boon. That was great to put on my Cowboy hat and deliver all the country and western music that the soundtrack called for”.

It took me a couple episodes to really get invested in this show, but once I did, I couldn't stop listening! I love their recurring goofs, I love their Vacationland episodes (Eerie Indiana is one of my favorite shows from my childhood), and it's just so much fun to listen to the hosts talk about this great TV show from way back when.

4: Eerie, Indiana ran only for one season but is still remembered by fans. Its premise began with teenager Marshall (Omri Katz) having recently moved to Eerie, Indiana with his family. He quickly realized the town was populated by weirdos — with a few exceptions including his eventual best friend Simon Holmes — and was a hot spot for paranormal activity and peculiar occurrences. While having its own mythos, the show touched upon classic Urban legends such as Bigfoot and a still-living Elvis Presley. A sequel series called Eerie, Indiana: The Other Dimension aired in 1998.
