What have you been working on this week, Eerie fans? Now's the time to spread the word about any fannish treats you've got cooking: a line of dialogue from an upcoming fic, linework for your latest art piece, the yarn colours for a new toy. Let us know in the comments!

So, after a mobile phone video of a lighthouse in the rain prompted this awesome fic from [livejournal.com profile] lipstickcat, I thought we could use some picture prompts here at the Eerie, Indiana fandom. On the 5th, 15th and 25th of the month, I'll put up a post where we can share photos or pictures that evoke a sense of Eerie, and these can be used as prompts for fic or art or a poem or icons or whatever shakes loose.

So a few years ago, I started an Eerie fanfiction set in the Bureau of Lost. In the last few months I've been trying to pick up the thread of the story again, without sucess. One of the last chapters took place in a lighthouse, so on my lunch breaks I've been going up to the lighthouse near me to eat and do some writing.

Yesterday, I was drinking my cocoa and watching the sea, when I got caught in a cloudburst. Check out the before and after pictures and a video of the rainstorm.

I'm having trouble embedding the video, so here is the link if it doesn't play properly

I have discovered some amazing new shows as a result of being a part of this fandom - [livejournal.com profile] scheherezhad told me about Welcome to Night Vale, more recently [livejournal.com profile] eviinsanemonkey told me about Carmilla and Gravity Falls, and I rediscovered the Burbs in my twenties because a friend described it to me as "the most Eerie, Indiana movie you're gonna see until they make an actual Eerie, Indiana movie". Then, once I bought the Burbs, Amazon was like, "Hey, do you own Monster Squad? You'll totally like Monster Squad." Good call, weird Amazon sales metrics thing.

So, my question is, what do you watch or read or listen to when you've seen all of Eerie for the umpteenth time, and want something new that has a similar vibe to it?
